Gain a Deep Understanding of Beauty at ESI

A Content-Rich Curriculum That Meets and Exceeds Professional Standards

At Elaine Sterling Institute, we go beyond the basics of cosmetology. Our curriculum is packed full of theoretical knowledge and professional skills that can prepare students to confidently enter the beauty industry as working professionals. We meet state, national, and international requirements in theory, lab, and clinical experience.

In fact, we go beyond the State Board of Cosmetology’s expectations to provide students with a deeper understanding of the art of cosmetology. Students learn to think critically as they address the needs of individual clients, and they grow personally as they gain self-awareness and respect from classmates and instructors. We prepare students to sit for the state exam, so they can go on to pursue their license and turn their dream of becoming a beauty professional into a reality.

Learning how to be a cosmetologist is a hands-on process, which means you need an educational environment that allows you to practice the skills you learn.

The education you receive at Elaine Sterling Institute combines international technique with contemporary training in an upscale, luxury salon environment. Students have access to high-end tools and products that are used in top professional settings. Working under the direct supervision of licensed instructors, students can assess the needs of their clients and provide professional services, such as haircuts, hair styling, color services, manicures, facials, and more.

Our Cosmetology Program can nurture your creativity while helping you master the skills you learn through classroom lectures, instructor/guest demonstrations, online training, and guided practice. Rigorous training and real-world practice come together to increase overall confidence and professionalism.

You can count on learning the skills and knowledge that employers value, which could increase your employability and lead to long-term career success.

Marisa Costigan

I am really glad I took the laser class offered at The Elaine Sterling Institute. Elaine’s school is very nice & professional. Tony Stanfill is an excellent instructor and she is very thorough in teaching laser safety and education. I thought there was plenty of hands on experience with the different lasers. After taking the class, I got offered a position at a dermatology practice.

Elaine, it was my pleasure to get to know you and have you as my mentor during my time as your student during my introduction to esthetics. Without your expertise and approval I may not have had the confidence I needed to face such a major career change. Thank you so much!
