Our 1,500-hour Barbering Program covers everything from innovative hairstyling and precision cuts to facial hair design and business skills. Train with professional tools in our student salon under licensed instructor supervision, and gain hands-on experience that builds real confidence. Full-time students can complete the program in as little as nine months, and graduates leave prepared to sit for the state exam and enter a rewarding barbering career.

At Elaine Sterling Institute, you get the luxury of choosing to attend the full Barbering Program at our Atlanta Buckhead campus, or you can choose the Barbering Hybrid Program, which allows you to learn the theory portion through a dynamic online educational program and complete the hands-on portion at our physical campus.
If you opt for hybrid learning, enjoy the self-paced, efficient teaching style of CIMA by Milady. The program is available 24/7 and works on whatever device you are using. Chat with classmates and instructors and receive instant feedback on assignments and quizzes. All types of learners can benefit from this flexible hybrid option.

We strive to provide the quality educational experience you desire, so that you can be well-prepared for your future as a professional barber.
Tuition for the Barbering Program is $19,500. The fee for the kit, books, and supplies is $3,024. Total cost is $22,524.
Tuition for the hybrid online Barbering Program costs the same.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to find out what you qualify for. Other ways to make the cost of tuition more affordable include applying for scholarships, getting a student loan from a bank or other financial institution, or taking advantage of our tuition payment plans.
We do offer a part-time schedule that meets in the evenings and on Saturdays. Contact us for more scheduling information.
Students in the full-time program attend Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Students in the part-time evening program attend Tuesday through Thursday, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and every Saturday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Full-time students can complete the program in as little as nine months.
Barbering is only offered at our Atlanta Buckhead campus, so that is the campus you should ask for when you schedule a tour.
